Buffalo Chapter presents grant to Fostering Greatness

Members of the Buffalo Chapter of Fifty Fabulous Women Giving Circle, a community of philanthropic women who combine their financial strength to improve the lives of women and children in Erie and Niagara counties in New York, donated $3,500 to Fostering Greatness, Inc.

Youth and young adults who have aged out of the foster care system are among the most vulnerable, underserved, underrepresented, and forgotten populations in the United States. Foster care alumni, especially youth and young adults of color, often do not receive the resources, skills training, mentorship, or other assistance that they need in order to live full, sustainable and successful lives. Fostering Greatness Inc. assists foster care alumni in Western New York with the material support, motivation, and community they need, so that they can switch from focusing on surviving to thriving. Services include developing life skills, housing stability, education, and career advancement, personal and professional development, leadership development, and full optimal health management.

The Fifty Fabulous Women Giving Circle is an all-volunteer community of philanthropic women who work to strengthen the community by combining their financial strength to support projects and initiatives that improve the lives of women and children. To maximize the potential of philanthropy as a vehicle for social change, the Giving Circle makes grants on a quarterly basis and donates a full 100% of member contributes to grant recipients.
